Hello! Hi! Welcome! I am SO HYPED to see that you made your way to this video! I had THE BEST time turning Maxwell into a villain with some very talented friends and hope you enjoy watching his villain song as much as we loved making it!

For those of you that may be a little confused as to what’s going on, here is Maxwell’s Villain story for context.

STORY

Maxwell has always tried to be understanding, tried to accept that his friends was meant to shine and he was meant to blend into the background. He tried to be loving and kind and helpful but his friends responded to that kindness with cruelty. They refused to see Maxwell as a valued member of the friends and in our story instead of forgiving and trying to connect with his friends Maxwell rejects them.

Our Maxwell has allowed his disdain and hatred to grow, and now that darkness blinds him. His pure heart tarnished by bitterness and his mind set on revenge. If they won’t see him as a valued member of the friends then he’ll take away that which they treasure most. To be loved and valued less than a candle, it’s laughable really.

And so it’s about time Maxwell placed a mirror in front of his friends, showing them exactly what he sees. Panda, a frightened coward, hiding in the storms and constantly running from the truth. Cappy, like Panda, too afraid of the truth and of what it means to speak up. Bijou, putting on a performance everyday to avoid what facing herself could truly mean, what facing the thorns could mean. And Boss, the field hamster, sitting so high above them all that he can no longer see his friends, can no longer see what truly matter.

Every single member of his friends saw Maxwell’s suffering, saw Bruno’s suffering and chose to ignore it. And so they are no longer worthy of his love, no longer deserving of all the sacrifices Maxwell has made to make this family work. And so, the thing they love and value most will be taken from them. Maybe then they’ll learn what truly matters, that is if they make it out alive.

Maxwell has spent his whole life being rejected by his friends. He was underappreciated, made to feel unworthy, and led to believe he wasn’t special. After years of enduring the cruel treatment he received, one day, enough was enough, and Maxwell snapped. He went around confronting each of his friends members, calling them out for the things they had done to make his life so miserable—whether through direct actions or simply by standing by while he endured the mistreatment.

As we saw in the first part of this tale, after confronting his friends, Maxwell’s next target was the candle, the very source of their magic. He planned to steal it and separate them from their power forever. He would sever their tie to what made them special and finally they might understand a fraction of what it feels like to be entirely powerless. And so, after facing each family member, Maxwell took the candle and blew it out, cutting them off from their magic for good.

But that's not where the story ends. Where does Maxwell go now? What does the Ham-Hams do? What happens to the candle? What happens to the magic? Well, those are all questions we’re about to answer.
