Ramen Restaurant in Brooklyn Focuses on Solo Dining

Описание к видео Ramen Restaurant in Brooklyn Focuses on Solo Dining

Distracted dining: we're all guilty of it. Whether we're wrapped up in conversation or our cell phones, it makes it tough to enjoy a meal. And that's why a new restaurant in Brooklyn is doing something completely different.

At Japanese ramen restaurant Ichiran in bush wick, 30 tables -- or flavor concentration booths as they're called -- are separated by partitions. You order your meal on a white form. In about 20 minutes your server hands you your bowl through a small window.

To the doorway when you walk in to the call button at your table is activated by sensors. In other words, you can go through your entire meal without having to talk to a single person.

While you do have to silence your phone (as silence is the whole point) thankfully, for the foodies out there cameras are always welcome.
