The first of the year’s London Fashion Week took place from the 17th – 21st February 2023. Emerging designers and renowned fashion houses showcased their collections, across the city, to reveal the cutting edge trends for the forthcoming Autumn/Winter season.

LFW February 2023 is dedicated to the late Vivienne Westwood and her incredible legacy. Her work not only changed the fashion industry, giving birth to and defining punk, but it also drove positive change globally. The event will also host Ukrainian Fashion Week on Tuesday 21st February.

An element of performance – theatrical or musical – was high on the agenda. A not exhaustive list here: Ian McKellen reciting one of Tennyson’s Arthurian poems at SS Daley; a saxophonist playing R&B classics at Ahluwalia; dancers at Saul Nash; live poetry at Roksanda; musician Jorja Smith walking Feben; London’s Bach Choir performing at Richard Quinn; professional whistler Molly Lewis at Paul & Joe; Florence Pugh emceeing Harris Reed and Dimitra Petsa, posing on a rock at her brand’s show, acting out Persephone’s decent into the underworld. Finally, Alicia Keys belting out her hits at the Moncler’s immersive Genius spectacle at Kensington Olympia.
