To my Parrot I Promise

In this video, I also make promises to Jasper—promises that reflect the unconditional love I have for him. I vow never to abandon or desert him, no matter how life changes. He's not just my pet; he's family.

I wrote this song for him during a period when my life was turned upside down. When I was first diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), I was living alone, isolated, and scared. The fatigue, depression, and uncertainty made every day feel like a battle. But Jasper saved me. His playful energy and unwavering presence gave me a reason to get out of bed when everything felt too overwhelming. Even now, MS is something I struggle to cope with, but I’m learning to focus on what I can do rather than what I’ve lost. It’s still hard, but with Jasper by my side, I push forward day by day.

Though this video doesn’t feature the entire song, Silent Wings was written entirely by me for Jasper, as a tribute to the love and bond we share. Thank you for watching and for taking the time to get to know a little more about our story.
