Walking The Thames Path 1- Source to Lechlade

Описание к видео Walking The Thames Path 1- Source to Lechlade

In this episode we take to the train from South Wales to Kemble, a small town in the Cotswolds which also happens to be the official start of the Thames Path National Trail, a 184 mile long path which meanders through several counties before finishing it's journey at The Thames Barrier in Woolwich.

We spend 2 days of steady walking through stunning, remote countryside to get to Lechlade, another very pretty town on the banks of the young Thames. It's fascinating to see the most well known river in the UK grow from a pile of dry stones in the Gloucester countryside to the winding, elegant river hosting swans, ducks as well as a thriving boat community from Lechlade onwards when it becomes navigable.

We hope you enjoy watching. We will be publishing the next instalment next week so please subscribe if you would like to keep watching us :)
