Welcome to the MENA Peer-to-Peer Learning Session on “How to Analyze, Track, and Influence Public Budgets for Children’s Rights.”

This peer-to-peer learning session brings together civil society organizations and child rights practitioners from across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to exchange practical experiences and approaches to public budget analysis and advocacy for children’s rights. The session features seven presentations from organizations across four countries: Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, and Morocco.

Through case studies and peer exchange, participants explore how civil society organizations engage children and communities in understanding public budgets, identifying child-related expenditures, and influencing budgetary decision-making to strengthen accountability and equitable public spending for children.

The peer-to-peer is intended as a long-lasting resource for those in the region and beyond highlighting innovative or successful approaches that can be adapted by others.

This session is part of a broader project supporting the development of practical guidance titled “How to Analyze, Track, and Influence Public Budgets for Children’s Rights.”
