Make your own DIY JDM Car Melody Box [Updated Version 2]

Описание к видео Make your own DIY JDM Car Melody Box [Updated Version 2]

An updated version of my popular DIY melody box. This fun DIY project automatically plays your custom start up greeting when you turn on your car. This music melody box is really easy to do (you do NOT need to be an electrician) and its pretty affordable (way cheaper than buying those premade boxes).

With this version 2, I made improvements as to how to power up the melody box that is more reliable than the older version and with better packaging. If you already made a music box using my version 1 instructions, no worries! You can modify your melody box to the version 2 spec because I basically use the same module.

Have fun and enjoy!

Parts You'll Need*:

-Bluetooth Speaker (used in video): https://amzn.to/3W5BTSw
-Solder Seal Connectors: https://amzn.to/466DDzO
-USB pig tail: https://amzn.to/3Ls7EQI
-Audio Recording - My channel support Ko-fi page: https://ko-fi.com/s/8723a46daa
-Cigarette Car Charger: https://amzn.to/3cfT52n
-Small Speaker alternative 1 (untested): https://amzn.to/3LoSsnE
-Small Speaker alternative 2 (untested): https://amzn.to/3LpzcWY

Tips:
1. If you need a longer USB cable pig tail, search for a length that will fit your needs depending on where you plan to place it in your car.
2. To connect the device to your computer you will need to use a quality USB cable that supports data transfer (some usb cables only support charging). Not all the USB cables I used worked, but the usb cable that came with a portable hardrive worked every time!
3. MP3 or WAV files will work. Only one sound file at a time. Delete the old Chinese test file before uploading your new sound file.
4. The solder seal connectors take a good deal of heat (heat gun or lighter). You will see the tiny bit of solder melt once its hot enough. Be careful you don't burn any thing nearby.
5. If your sound keeps playing on repeat, then your board is set in the wrong mode. From the factory, they should default as playing the sound file once. If yours does not, you can follow the directions on the product description page to change the modes (you will need a soldering iron) or contact Amazon/seller to get a replacement.
6. Unfortunately the sound board is compatible with Windows operating systems only (according to the seller). You might not be able to connect on a Mac OS.
