being below illusion score hurts so much despite being only 50 below... it hits for so hard so i don't think i'll be able to clear in a team without dodging some attacks until next day comes out, but so far the self sustain for shield spec isn't too bad, especially since the new role skill and talents nodes came out. i'm not fully built in defense so i'd imagine better built shields will be better off than me :v also, i didn't eat food for this so i think with food it'll be fine

for my build i used oblivion dream with all elemental resistance for the general defense factor, lvl.5 final protection + lvl.5 life wave, and the 2 updated defensive talent nodes. not sure how much of a difference these make though, since i didn’t really do a comparison test with my regular build. i tried out void ogre since it raises max hp and radiance reduces an attack by % of max hp, plus more room for padding but i honestly don’t think it did anything lol
