Transformers brought us Jetfire in 1985, and this toy was both a joy for collectors and a pain for Hasbro. Unable to use the name or likeness, his show version was Skyfire and looked quite different. FUGU has decided to create a new version of this original G1 toy and even put it in a Generation One Transformers box! Captain Kyle reviews this new version and the original. You decide which is better.

G1 Jetfire, the Autobot Air Guardian, was a recolored and rebranded Macross toy from Bandai. Hasbro was looking for additional Transformers to sell, and this was one of them. However, because of rights issues, the likeness and even the name of this toy weren’t able to be used in the show or the comic book. The toy, however, was very popular and became even more popular and expensive over the years. FUGU decided to put out their own version, which is similar to the original, but there are differences. Captain Kyle reviews both toys, and you can figure out which one you wish to pit against the Decepticons.
