কলকাতায় হুগলি নদীর তীরে ব্রিটিশ যুগে নির্মিত একটি ঘাট হলো প্রিন্সেপ ঘাট।
ঘাটটি মহান সম্রাট অশোকের শিলালিপির পাঠোদ্ধারকারী  জেমস প্রিন্সেপের স্মৃতিতে তৈরি করা হয়েছিল ১৮৪১ সালে।
এর ঠিক পাশেই মাথার উপর দিয়ে বিশালাকায় বিদ্যাসাগর সেতু আপনার দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করবে।

প্রিন্সেপ ঘাটটি ফোর্ট উইলিয়াম দুর্গের ওয়াটার গেট ও সেন্ট জর্জেস গেটের মাঝে অবস্থিত।আপনি চাইলে ধর্মতলা থেকে হাত পটজে বা গাড়ি ভাড়া করে এখন আস্তে পারেন।এছাড়া দমদম/মাঝেরহাট চক্ররেলে করে প্রিন্সেপ ঘাট স্টেশন এ নেমে পৌঁছে যেতে পারেন এই ঘটে।
নদীর পাড় বরাবর সুন্দর সাজানো রাস্তা দিয়ে প্রাকৃতিক শোভা দেখা একটা দারুন ব্যাপার।
প্রিন্সেপ ঘাট কলকাতার সচেয়ে পুরনো দর্শনীয় স্থানগুলির একটি। 
সপ্তাহের যেকোনো দিন আপনি চলে আসতে পারেন এখনে।বন্ধুদের সাথে বা পরিবারের সাথে পিকনিকের আদর্শ জায়গা এটা।
নদীর গা ঘেঁষে রাস্তায় খাবারের দোকান রয়েছে।
এখান থেকে আপনি চাইলে নৌকায় নদী পথে বিকেলে সূর্যের সোনালী আলোতে ভ্রমণের মজা নিতে পারেন।
সিনেমা, ছবি ,গান ও Pre Wedding শ্যুটিং হয় এই প্রিন্সেপ ঘাটে।
