Description: In this edition of Main Bhi Bharat, we talk about Sahariya tribe of Madhya Pradesh. The Sahariya tribe is declared Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) by the government of India.


The life of Sahariya tribe in the state is an unending struggle against hunger and malnutrition.

Our team travelled to three blocks Vijaypur, Karhal and Sheopur of Sheopur districts where a large number of Sahariya tribe live.


During our visit to different villages of Sahariya Tribe, we found a very high rate of malnutrition-related deaths in children.
