For the reds , this weekend series epitomized the entire month of June….a month where the team won 13 and lost 13.

They look great on offense for two games of the series at busch stadium…..get shut out in the other two.
They outscored st louis 20-11 over the four games but they are no closer in the nl central standings than when the weekend began.

Hunter Greene? Tell me what you think? I can watch a guy on tv……a guy who looks almost unhittable….a guy who gives up only one run.
I also see a guy who averages five innings per start this season…. before throwing 95-100 pitches.
This was a game you needed to win and the best arm on your team goes 4.2 innings.
The offense stunk…that’s obvious. They’re lucky they didn’t get no-hit by lance lynn.

It’s a month where they had a seven-game wining streak, then lost 12 out of 17 to end the month.
July is what i call go time…..GO MONTH.
Go to work winning games and get over .500 or go home.
If you start the month of August under the .500 mark, your chances of reaching the post-season are virtually nill.
The end of this month is also the trade deadline…… big decisions would need to be made. Deal Montas?
Alexis Diaz is pitching great right now and could help a contender.
Does India get thrown back in to the trade conversation or is he now a guy you want around…. He’s playing great, but next year he has to be an outfielder, right? That was supposed to happen last year.
The month officially starts tomorrow at yankee stadium in the first of three against the yanks.
