Verkada - Adaptive Quality Recording & Cloud Backup deep dive

A Verkada camera stores all the footage locally, but how can it do so for up to 356 days? In this video I will explain the process of Adaptive Quality Recording, and also touch upon Cloud Backup, as a way to create redundancy (plus a couple of deployment best practices)

🗒️ Verkada AQR & Cloud Backup:

➡️ The cameras will record in Standard Quality for the duration of the days allowed by the storage space (starts at 30 days, can go up to 365 for 5PM models)

➡️ On top of that, they will record in High Quality every time motion has been spotted

➡️ In the case the camera runs of of space, it will delete the oldest HQ files; if you need to retain them, either purchase a camera with a larger storage, or utilize Cloud Backup

➡️ Cloud Backup stores files securily in redundant datacenters worldwide
