To create and connect to an Ubuntu virtual machine in Azure using an SSH key, start by generating an SSH key pair on your local machine using the ssh-keygen command. Next, log in to the Azure portal, navigate to Virtual Machines, and create a new VM. Choose an Ubuntu image, configure the VM settings, and under the Administrator Account section, select "SSH Public Key" and paste your public key i-e ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub. Once the VM is deployed, note its public IP address. Finally, connect to the VM using your private key by running ssh -i ~/.ssh/id_rsa username@public-ip-address in your terminal. This method ensures a secure, password-less connection to your Ubuntu VM in Azure.
