Cannabis plants are typically large and bulky so when it comes to removing them it can present many challenges.
While there are a couple options, the end goal and result is essentially the same.



Size of Operation?
Depending on the size of your operation this may essentially make the decision for you if you should go with the manual harvest option or mechanize the process.
Smaller operations should stick with the manual harvest option.
Larger operations have a choice, mechanize is staff is limited or go the manual route if there is enough people to make this process feasible.



Manual Cannabis Plant Take Down for Harvest
Advantages
Does not require specialized equipment
Allows for growers to specifically harvest sections of the plant
Disadvantages
Time consuming
Requires the most labor



Mechanical Cannabis Plant Take Down for Harvest
Advantages
Quick method
Can be very efficient for large scale operations
Disadvantages
Requires specialized equipment

Can damage the buds and plant material
