After 2 states including Karnataka and Maharashtra have halted the drive for the 18+ category amid shortage, Capital Delhi also raises the shortfall of vaccine almost daily. Sources suggest that the national territory of immunization has recommended on increasing the gap between doses as far as the Covishield vaccine is concerned by at least 12-15 weeks which was earlier 6-8 weeks. In addition the comity suggested the Covid recovered patients should wait for atleast 6 months before getting their jabs. However, there needs to be no change in the gap between doses of the Covaxin. On this Congress has raised doubts and seeks an explanation on the science behind this move during this state battle crunch over amid Covid crisis.
