Tisryanche Sukhe
Ingredients
1. Clams (Tisryo) – ½ kg
2. Coconut oil ( khobreaTel)- 2-3 tablespoons
3. Cumin (jirem) – ½ teaspoon
4. Cinnamon (tikhi) – 1 inch
5. Cloves (loung) – 5
6. Garlic (losunn) - 12 cloves, chopped
7. Chillies (mirsang) 4 slit
8. Tomato (tomat) – 2 chopped
9. Onion (piav) – 2 chopped
10. Turmeric powder (holddi pito) – ½ teaspoon
11. Water (udok) - ½ cup
12. Grated coconut (kantlo nalla shoi) -1 cup
13. Salt (mitth)- optional as the clams are already salty.

Method
 Wash and clean the clams.
 Heat oil, add cumin, cinnamon and cloves. Saute for few seconds.
 Add chopped garlic and slit chillies. Saute for half a minute.
 Add onion and tomato and saute till the tomotoes are soft and mashy.
 Add the clams, water and turmeric and let it simmer on slow heat for 10 minutes.
 Add the grated coconut, stir and simmer for another 5 minutes.

Tisryache sukhe
Tisryache sukhe is a Goan side dish which is eaten along side of rice and curry. 'Tisreo' means clams and 'sukhe' means dry. The dish is prepared with local spices, finally tossed with grated coconut. It is a simple dish. Easy to make, divine in taste.
