This session will explore the Data Warehouse features in Microsoft Fabric, the all-in-one analytics solution. You will learn the differences between the Lakehouse and the Data warehouse, including why to choose Warehouse as your foundation. We will discuss the multiple ways to build that foundation from Low-Code to Pro-Code options. The session will also explore ways to build up from the foundation with Semantic Models and SQL Queries. We will also cover the differences between Fabric data warehouses and SQL Server.

Bio
Kevin Arnold is the Director of Architecture and Managing Partner at Expert Analytics, overseeing software management methodologies, deployment strategy, and optimal data architectures for clients. He is a senior data architect with over 20 years’ experience, including at large-cap and SMB consultancies. His work focuses on the Modern Microsoft BI Stack including Power BI, Analysis Services, SQL Server, PowerShell, DevOps, Azure, and Power Query.

He is a co-leader and frequent presenter for the Dallas/Fort Worth Power BI User Group, as well as presenting at conferences and other user groups. He has been recognized by Microsoft as a Data Platform MVP in 2022.
