Amy Chabitnoy MD talks about the opportunities working a Seattle Indian Health Board as well as their Family Medicine Residency program.

Amy Chabitnoy (Unangan/Aleut) is an enrolled member of the Tangirnaq Native Village who grew up close to Hershey, Pennsylvania. She completed her undergraduate degree in biology at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and earned her medical degree at Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire. She completed residency in 2019 at Swedish Cherry Family Medicine Residency working at the Seattle Indian Health Board, where she continued to work after graduation as a full spectrum family physician. She was very excited to join the Cherry Hill faculty in 2021 as the SIHB Residency Site Director. She is passionate about AI/AN health and mentorship of indigenous youth, social justice, and advocacy. Her clinical interests include women’s health and OB, addiction medicine, clinic procedures and working on increasing her POCUS skills. Outside of work she enjoys spending time adventuring with her family and her partner and their husky mix Tuukka, hiking, working on their camper van and other home improvement projects, bread baking, live music shows, being an aunt, and board games. She loves sports, playing soccer and basketball in local leagues, and watching the local sports teams as well as her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.
