Career interruptions and transitions between sectors are major challenges for many PhD holders. How are these career paths perceived by recruiters? What are the best practices to adopt?

In this webinar presented by Sophie Bouccara, PhD, Researcher and Trainer within our laboratory (LID), experts in recruitment form the public and private sectors are invited to answer these questions:

This discussion was organized into two main topics:
🔹Career interruption: On this specific topic, all panelists agreed on the importance of being transparent during the recruitment process.

🔹Sectoral changes: In this session, recruiters highlighted the importance of transferable skills and production as key criteria for recruitment in both sectors.

🔹Finally, each of our panelists provided a take-home message on these two topics, enabling participants to gain a better understanding of the challenges related to them
