Ukrainian-language, feature-length film produced by Ukrainian-Canadian Vasile Avramenko and directed by Edgar G. Ulmer for a Ukrainian audience in North America. Before being acquired by the Provincial Archives of Alberta, this print was originally used for itinerant film shows in Ukrainian communities Saskatchewan in the 1930s-1950s before being purchased by a collector and subsequently screened for Ukrainian audiences in Alberta in the 1970s.
