In this video, I wanted to do something a bit different, half-way between a timelapse, real-time and CGI. Inspired by the many videos of the sort on YouTube, I still wanted to showcase my own content and not NASA or Hubble's pictures.

I utilized some of the all-sky astrophotographs I have produced in the past 5 years as a background for the 3-D star effect. By zooming in on the high-resolution pictures and adding the star filter on top (Pixel Film Studio - ProDrop Space plugin), it creates a 3D immersive experience, as if the viewer is transported at incredible speeds through our local arm of the milky way. It's a voyage into our own home galaxy, which has not been shown in this way before!

All these views are real (except for the suprlus stars and a few gas cloud effects in overlay) when taken with an astromodified camera, and they showcase different parts of the milky way with a lot of interesting and colorful nebulae, clouds of dusts, stars... At first, I was going to limit the video to the original series of about 10 scenes but I decided to repeat those to make a relaxation video, as it is in high demand these days.

All shots were taken with the Canon 6D astromodified and various lenses (Samyang 135mm, Sigma 50mm, Sigma 85mm, Sigma 35 and 14mm). Most of the frames are stacks of pictures derived from tracked timelpases, except for a few that are high res panoramas (The one in the thumbnail is my famous 73-panel pano at 135mm!).
