Ed Forchion, better known as New Jersey Weedman, got into it with Trenton Police Tuesday. This came shortly after Forchion introduced himself to the Trenton mayor. Did one result from the other?

Forchion's always been an outspoken --and outsmokin' -- advocate for legal marijuana. His cafe was raided by Trenton Police last week and as a result, he's numerous charges including marijuana possession and distribution.

So when Forchion saw Trenton Mayor Eric Jackson get out of his car right across the street, at City Hall, Weedman asked for a sitdown. "I'm having some problems with the police," he told Jackson, adding that the allegations against him are "exaggerated."

Jackson said he was headed to a news conference and couldn't chat, but he invited Forchion to call his office and make an appointment.

Forchion went back to promoting his business, greeting drivers and holding high a card that said "We R Open. F*** The Police." A police cruiser drove by and things went south. Forchion engaged in a profane verbal battle with the cop driving the cruiser, which blocked State Street for several minutes. The squad car turned around and pulled to the curb, and soon several cops were on the scene.
