The fourth film in the Terminator series and the first in which the main action takes place during the war with the machines. The film was released in the United States on May 21, 2009. Starring Christian Bale and Sam Worthington.
After a complex pre-production process, with The Halcyon Company acquiring the rights to the franchise from Andrew Vajna and Mario Cassar, as well as several writers working on the script, filming began in May 2008 in New Mexico and lasted 77 days.
Terminator: Savior Come grossed $371.4 million worldwide and received mixed reviews. The fourth installment was supposed to be the start of the Terminator trilogy, but The Halcyon Company declared bankruptcy and the sequels were cancelled.
The only film in the Terminator series without the participation of Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T-800 Terminator, however, his digital image is present in the film.
