In this video we'll show you how to use a Meglio resistance band to help strengthen the muscles down the front of your shin following an ankle injury. The most common ankle injury is where the ankle rolls down and away from the body. This causes a strain of the muscles down the front and side of the shin. To help strengthen these muscles, first take the resistance band and secure it around your foot. The aim is to feel it pulling your foot down and away from body. Put the band under tension so that when you relax your foot is pulled away from body. Squeeze your foot slowly up towards yourself. You should start to feel the muscles on the outside of your shin really working. Begin a controlled phase of movement by relaxing your foot away under control and then pulling it back up towards yourself. The contraction and relaxation phase must be under control to complete this exercise successfully.
