Banglalion was one of the largest WiMax operators in Bangladesh and in June 2013 Banglalion had a user base of nearly 4 lakh. But the rosy days of Banglalion did not last long as the WiMax operator saw a rapid decrease of its subscriber base and in June of 2018, Banglalion’s subscriber count fell to 28,619. In addition to that, Banglalion’s debt was increasing rapidly as in December 2020, Banglalion’s debt reached approximately BDT 205.94 crore. As a result, in 2021, the once-famous wireless internet connection provider lost its license to operate and this meant that Banglalion was practically dead. In today’s video, we will explore why Banglalion failed.
