In December 2020 Carlos got his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering with a specialty in pipeline engineering at the Pipeline Engineering Center from the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. His research focused on risk-based inspection and maintenance planning for unpiggable pipelines subject to internal corrosion. In today's episode, we welcome Carlos Melo, Ph.D..

Since 2013 Carlos has been working for AMPP as an instructor for Cathodic Protection (CP 1 and CP2) and Pipeline Integrity (Direct Assessment and Pipeline Corrosion Integrity Management) and has taught classes in North America, South America, and Asia. Carlos also collaborated as an instructor for the online Corrosion Control in the Oil and Gas Industry class and was an instructor for the Maintenance Management Certification from the San Francisco University in Quito – Ecuador.
