Retro 8-bit - Motorola 6809 - 80's WireWrap Homebrew (Part 2 - Fire it up! - and Hello World)

Описание к видео Retro 8-bit - Motorola 6809 - 80's WireWrap Homebrew (Part 2 - Fire it up! - and Hello World)

This is the follow-up (Part 2) on my recently rediscovered Motorola MC6809 based Eurocard wire-wrap design, created back in the early - mid 1980's.

I'd been unboxing some of my electronics maker history, that was almost forgotten, having been in storage for 35 years (or so).

This Wire-Wrap 6809 CPU board was quickly dusted off, and I figured it'd be fun to re-visit and see if I can fire it up again, after all these years. :-)

In the earlier Part 1 introduction, I included a journey down memory lane, recollecting what it was like as a teenage digital electronics enthusiast in the late 70's / early 80's, the exciting early days of the 8-bit microprocessor.

Part 1 can be found here:    • Retro 8-bit - Motorola 6809 - 80's Wi...

In this Part 2, I try to fire it up for the first time in 35 years, and demonstrate the ASSIST09 monitor, an Assembly Code HELLO WORLD, and the debugging features.
