Heyyy, my name is Julian. I'm from Norway and I've been juggling for more than 20 years. Coming into the circus world at age 15, I especially love the performing aspect of juggling.

ORANGE WORLD shows research I found when I had just moved down to Toulouse and my world seemed to crumble around me as the pandemic was hitting and all my projects and relationship fell apart and most of my friends were so far away. I started hosting online juggling conventions and pushing the technique I call Bent Elbow Stalls or BES. This is when my elbow is out to the side and BESi (BESinside) is the stall where elbow is close to the body. Pushing this technique and sharing it with my friends online helped me to not feel so alone.

I love to think differently about my juggling and finding new ways of looking at it as a skill and performance art. I like to draw inspiration from other artforms like dance/movement, physical theatre and character work.

Hola, mi nombre es Julian, soy de Noruega y hago malabares desde hace más de 20 años. Al entrar en el mundo del circo a los 15 años, me encanta especialmente el aspecto escénico de los malabares.

ORANGE WORLD (mundo naranja) muestra la investigación que encontré cuando me acababa de mudar a Toulouse y mi mundo parecía desmoronarse a mi alrededor a medida que la pandemia golpeaba y todos mis proyectos y relaciones se desmoronaron y la mayoría de mis amigos estaban muy lejos. Empecé a organizar convenciones de malabares en línea y a promover la técnica que llamo Bent Elbow Stalls o BES. Esto es cuando mi codo está hacia un lado y BESi (BESinside) es el puesto donde el codo está cerca del cuerpo. Empujar esta técnica y compartirla con mis amigos en línea me ayudó a no sentirme tan solo.

Me encanta pensar de manera diferente sobre mis malabares y encontrar nuevas formas de verlo como una habilidad y un arte escénico. Me gusta inspirarme en otras formas de arte como la danza/el movimiento, el teatro físico y el trabajo con personajes.
