Régne - The Kingdom of the Sibyllines (full album, 2023)

Описание к видео Régne - The Kingdom of the Sibyllines (full album, 2023)

The realm of the invisible appears before us only at dusk.
A multitude of challenges await you to access and thrive.
Cross the troll bridge, the twisted woods meet the hermit and king of the batrachians.
Your adventure is not in vain, the kingdom is not very far away.

So begins the fantastical adventures into Régne’s new album of whimsical ambience, The Kingdom of the Sibyllines, and the first of three features in this weeks’ Dungeon Synth Sunday.

Cautious steps into an eerie gloaming, spirited flight towards perilous foe, echoes of shining crystal caverns; this is an album of detailed audio narratives and a rich tapestry of ancient tales, woven into an enchanting, and often unnerving soundworld, from this French composer of dungeon synth and black metals.

The album is released through Kajdum;s Tower in a very limited 8-copy edition of their trademark wooden relic boxes, plus a 25 copies of jewel case tapes.

Clarke’s The Last Hour of the Night (1922) - the frontispiece for Dublin of the Future, the prize-winning design for an urban planning competition staged in 1914 (but not published until 1922 because of the intervening violence and devastation)

Harry Clarke was an Irish stained glass artist and illustrator of works exploring the macabre exploration of the human psyche including editions of Edgar Allan Poe’s Tales of Mystery and Imagination, Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales, and Goethe’s Faust.
