How is a cult created? Inevitably pride is at the root. Though the Watchtower (JW.org) certainly does not proclaim itself "part of the Godhead" nowadays, the hubris of "God's Organization" is even more marked now than it was in the days of Charles Taze Russell. When you brand yourself the "few chosen", you are by definition a cult. The irony is that the public proclaimers of this unique "good news" are themselves cut off from even a covenant relationship with the God they proclaim. 8.5 million Jehovah's Witnesses are totally dependent upon their true mediator -- "the anointed" class, direct heirs of their earthly gurus, Nelson H. Barbour, Charles Taze Russell, Joseph F. Rutherford, Fred Franz.
