I had my tubes cut and burned. Is there any chance of getting pregnant again?

Tubal sterilization is a form of permanent contraception that in most cases is highly effective. Most studies have shown that after following women for ten years following the procedure, only 18 out of every 1,000 end up getting pregnant. So you can tell by that that there's a very small chance that women get pregnant after this type of procedure but it does happen. You mentioned that you've had some pregnancy symptoms. You're wondering if there's any chance that you might possibly get pregnant. If you've been sexually active and not using contraception, your chances would be greater. I mean, you said you had the tubal ligation. You probably haven't been really thinking about that but if you've been sexually active, there's always a chance. So the best thing to do would be to call your OBGYN provider. They can ask you more specific questions about your health history and the symptoms that you've been observing and then decide if further investigation or treatment is warranted. If they determine that you're not pregnant, then they can look into other causes behind it. You mentioned that you're a single mom working 6 days a week and that can be so taxing on you. You're absolutely right. It could just be fatigue and burnout causing all these symptoms but there might be something more to it as well.
