I got to see a Dynamometer in action at the Rock River Thresheree in Edgerton Wisconsin. I am mostly ignorant of what it measures, but I will guess it can tell both speed and torque. This information can be important for farmers as this gives the farmer an idea of what the machine can do. Shown is the Dynamometer that is hooked up to a John Deere tractor. The tractor has a power take-off and a long belt connects the tractor to the Dynamometer control unit. This is one of many exhibits at the Thresheree and visitors can get close to view the action!
