Creating Christmas Pots at my Favorite Local Bakery!

It’s time for a Christmas field trip! Recently, I went to my favorite bakery, Deluxe Cakes & Pastries, and put together some festive containers by their front door. While there, I helped the owner, the wonderful Jamie, put up fresh garland and wreaths! It honestly was a super fun time. I showed Jamie how to make bows from wreaths, and she showed me how to frost some cookies. She's amazing!

The containers are comprised as many of mine are:

- Noble and Fraser fir are used upside down to follow the contour of the container.
- A metal sphere wrapped in C7 lights adds a bright glow at night and structure during the day.
- Various greens are used as filler.
- All of the fun comes into play with variegated greens, curly willow, and fantail willow.
- All-weather faux red berries add pops of colors. They'll last all season and can be used again in future years.

Nothing feels more like Christmas than some festive greens... and my favorite drink and baked goods, of course! If you've got a locally-owned bakery, make sure to stop by this holiday season!
