Our products become part of the family furniture and can be in the home for a number of years, often being used with multiple children. All of our products are tested to the required British, European and American safety standards.

All of our gates comply with the EN 1930:2011 safety standard. This standard specifies the safety requirements and test methods for child safety barriers for domestic indoor use which are designed to be fitted across openings to limit a child's access inside the home and prevent young children up to the age of 24month passing through.

EN 1930:2011 states that a safety barrier should be constructed so that a child cannot pass through, climb over, crawl under, be able to open or to dislodge the safety barrier. This standard covers the gates height, gaps, opening and closing system, entrapment hazards, shearing and crushing hazards, choking and suffocation hazards, hazardous edges and points, the effectiveness of the fixing, locking and opening systems and the security of the safety barrier from impact.
