Story Summary :-
Jenny has had reproductive issues since she was a teenager. Later in life, when she’s married, she learns she has PCOD and needs to endure extensive treatment before she can conceive. Her husband decides he doesn’t want to wait for kids and they divorce. After this, she moved back into her family home with her mother, her brother Landon, and his then-girlfriend, now wife, Ava. Months later, they learn that Ava is pregnant and Ava’s family forces Landon to marry her, so she won’t be a single mother. After the wedding, they go straight into planning for the baby. They ask Jenny to move out of the house faster than she intended because they need a space for their baby. Jenny refuses, Telling them she’d planned to stay for a year. At Ava’s baby shower, she makes a joke about Jenny’s infertility, and the whole party has a laugh at her expense. Afterward, Jenny yells at them both and tells her brother that he’s a broke loser who was forced into a shotgun wedding with an
idiot. They try to get their mom to kick Jenny out but she says no. So they keep making jeers at Jenny about her infertility. After the baby is born, Jenny packs up to move into her own apartment. Since Landon has to work extra hours to pay off their hospital bill and help with bills at home, she’s stuck alone with the baby all the time. She asked Jenny if she could babysit sometimes so she could feel what it’s like to be a mom, but Jenny refused and moved out into her own place. Fast forward a year and Jenny is invited to her niece’s first birthday party. At the party, Jenny notices the baby is nowhere to be seen. She asks around and finally finds her under the table choking on candy. She called one of her mom’s friends who’s a firefighter and he managed to get the baby breathing again. Weeks later, Jenny gets a call from her mom to ask her to swing by her brother’s place. When she does, she hears a baby crying inside. She tries to get in but when she can’t she calls the police. They break down the door and find Jenny’s niece alone in the house crying. The police find alcohol in her bottle. They question Landon and Ava when they finally get home. Both Landon and Ava are arrested on child endangerment charges and the kid is taken away from them.
