Buddy Whittington & Van Wilks are great blues players in their own right, but here they play incredible and as you will see they are both masters of the art of guitar playing.

Buddy Whittington is an American guitarist. He began playing guitar inspired by his sister's records back in the day listening to the Beatles, Stones and most of all John Mayall's blues breakers featuring Eric Clapton. By the time he was 14 Buddy was already a big part of the Dallas and Fort Worth music scene and playing regularly in the Jacksboro highway. While Buddy was attending high school he played in a band called 'Short Change' that had opened for 'Point Blank' and later Buddy joined that band. But Buddy is clearly no stranger to them old blues styles and man he knows how to play that guitar.

Van Wilks is now well in to his third decade of the world famous Austin music scene and it shows with this style of Texas blues. Van Wilks makes some of the city's hottest guitar rock confirms the Austin Chronicle! Van Wilkes is capable of bringing his music to the cutting edge of other styles too like funk, hard rock and melodic playing. This is a guy that has been declared to be 'the perfect cross between Hendrix and Van Halen' by The Austin-American Statesman and that's no mean feat in itself. Van Wilks has toured nationally and internationally with acts like ZZ Top and is known to have 'torn the roof off' night clubs and concert halls all over the world. A very accomplished player that many have not seen.

Please understand that this video has been created only because I currently am unable to make new video reviews... and the video I personally recorded at that gig and is presented from archives that I have yet to show. In any case guys who love this style of blues will just find this recording probably as awesome as I did.

Simply awesome guitar playing from true masters of the art... and this one is in 4K quality. No Fender Stratocasters on this one! And you won't find Joe Bonamassa either :) There's no blues guitar lesson or slide guitar, but you WILL find some of the best blues guitar playing from two of the great Texas guitarists you might well have never seen before.
