This is the Story about the troops making Hippie Peace Signs at Camp Ames Korea during 1968 to 1970. It was done for fun as a away to reduce the stress of this US Army hardship tour in South Korea. Many pictures were taken of someone making a Peace Sign with their hands (fingers). Back in the days of the Hippies, it became common practice to make a peace sign, even for people that weren't Hippies. In the video you will see many soldiers making peace signs, especially when there was a camera taking pictures.

In the video you will see a Famous Hippie Soldier. Almost everyone knew he had Hippie ideas. Of course, there were some soldiers that didn't make peace signs. An interesting fact is that there was also a Short Timers Sign, that was displayed when a soldier was close to the end of his time of service in Korea. But that is another issue. This video is about the Hippie Peace Signs.
