Hi. Do you know that NASA confirmed DART mission impact changed asteroid’s motion in space just in last month? Well, it's definitely a small first step on dodging asteroids from space to save the lives on Earth.
You can find asteroids everywhere in the Solar System. There're billions of them in two belts around the Sun and millions more scattering across the orbits of the planets. That's why most of the celestial bodies are covered with craters - the impacts are just way too common. :P
