Tawang, October 3, 2024: Advocate Thupten Lhamu, daughter of former Tawang ZPM and BJP MLA candidate for the 2-Tawang Assembly constituency, Tsering Dorjee, has issued a strong rebuttal against allegations of corruption circulating on social media.

In a viral voice clip, an anonymous individual accused her father of misappropriating Rs 74 crores during the construction of the Gonpa to Bazaar RCC road, along with allegations of misusing cement and rice.

Advocate Lhamu clarified that these allegations are baseless and have severely tarnished her father's hard-earned reputation. She emphasized that Tawang is a close-knit community, and it would not take long to identify the person behind the voice clip. She announced her intention to file an FIR at the Tawang police station, accompanied by a copy of the viral clip.

In a bold move, Advocate Lhamu challenged the anonymous accuser to come forward and substantiate their claims. She invited the individual to contact her directly or meet face-to-face to clarify their points. Furthermore, she dared the accuser to present their evidence publicly through a press briefing and even challenged them to a press conference.

Advocate Lhamu also stated her plans to file a defamation case against the person responsible for the voice clip. She urged the anonymous individual to file a case against her or her father if they could prove their allegations.

This development has stirred significant attention in Tawang, as the community awaits further actions and clarifications on the matter.
