40 Years DAAD Philippines - Alumni share their memories to inspire you.

Urban Climate Finance Consultant, Cristina Gregorios, studied Development Management at Ruhr University Bochum (2012 - 2014). During that time she had the opportunity to gain a Master's degree as a DAAD scholar and to work for the United Nations. The exposure to quality of life, access to nature and the livability of public places in Germany inspired her to expand her expertise to an Urban Development Specialist.

Since the academic year 1980/81 the DAAD is promoting change by exchange in the Philippines and has been supporting the University of the Philippines Diliman with a lecturer position in the German Section of the Department of European Languages.
Through DAAD supported projects and scholarships, by 2019 close to 1000 Filipinos and Filipinas could receive funding for their studies (in 2020: 154).
