Four Avro Vulcan B1s from 617 Sqn demonstrate the ability to start all four engines at once and get airborne quickly in this simulated scramble taken from 1960. The idea behind this was to get the aircraft in the sky before the air base was destroyed by incoming Soviet missiles.
