After 30 Years - The Sacred Warm Bath at Manimahesh Returns

In 2025, after a long wait of three decades, a rare celestial alignment will bless Manimahesh Dal Lake with the auspicious Sacred Warm Bath - believed to wash away all sorrows and purify the soul.

The ritual begins on August 15 at 11:50 PM Janmashtami night and will continue till August 16 at 9:30 PM.

The last time this yog occurred was in 1995 - a year marked by tragedy, when a cloudburst brought devastating floods, sweeping away tents, and shops. Roads to Bharmour remained blocked for three months, leaving thousands of devotees stranded without food supplies.

This year, learning from the past, authorities have put in place robust safety measures - with NDRF, SDRF, and mountaineering teams stationed along the route, alongside upgraded infrastructure, electricity, water, and medical facilities.

The Manimahesh Yatra will officially begin on August 16 and continue till August 31 - offering thousands of devotees a once-in-a-lifetime spiritual experience in the lap of the snow-clad lake.

Because, as locals say - “Only those destined by fate can reach Manimahesh.”
