Today we archive a game from the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 generation in the form of Surf's Up. The game that is based on the movie is of course a surfing game and I wasn't sure how the gameplay would be in that regard.
But it was surprisingly fun albeit a bit short and simple.
In some ways it can be compared to Tony Hawk where you do tricks and grinds, but its on rails since you are following a giant wave all the time.
You take part in a competition and go from island to island and performing tricks to get a higher score than the rest. There are plenty of characters to unlock with each their own tricks and animations and also boards to collect.
All in all I had a good experience with this game, though I can imagine being disappointed if I had to pay the full price of 60 bucks back in the day. I managed to pick this game up recently at a market and for a cheaper price it was definitely worth it!
