Taylor Forgings Ltd is owned by Simon and Jill Bluff. Their belief in the need for continual business development is reflected in their investment in four key areas. Firstly, in finding the best people to work at all levels of the business, from apprenticeships to key management positions. Secondly in facilities, with their move in 2018 to a 5200 sqm factory on Acres Hill Lane in Sheffield. Thirdly in the best equipment for the job. To complement the existing manual machine shop Taylor Forgings Ltd now boasts 6 CNC machines. These include 2 state of the art SFM lathes with maximum bed lengths of 5 metres & maximum shaft diameters of 1 metre. The most recent acquisition in March 2025 was a Dah Lih MCV-1060 VMC to update the growing milling section. Finally, the desire to bring as many operations in house meant the investment in 2019 of a brand new 26 Tonne flatbed lorry & the introduction of in-house NDT, Taylor NDT. Nearly 50 years since the business was founded the company is looking forward to the next 50 years.
