The lives of two very different couples spiral out of control in this darkly gripping thriller.

Well-to-do couple Kate (Clemence Poesy) and Justin (Stephen Campbell Moore) have recently welcomed their first child into their plush Islington flat. Life seems perfect - until they come into contact with a newly arrived husband and wife living in the downstairs apartment. Wife Teresa (Laura Birn) is married to banker Justin (David Morrissey) and appears to become firm friends with Kate. But soon, subtle and penetrating differences between the two couples begin to rear their head, and the atmosphere within the house takes on a darker air. With sexual tension and deep-seated mistrust coming to boiling point, it doesn't take long for things to fall apart.

With its echoes of master filmmakers like Alfred Hitchcock and Roman Polanski, screenwriter David Farr's suspenseful directorial debut expertly builds menace to near-unbearable proportions.
