How to Replace a Temperature Probe Sensor on a Pit Boss Pellet Grill / Smoker

Описание к видео How to Replace a Temperature Probe Sensor on a Pit Boss Pellet Grill / Smoker

Demonstration showing how to replace a temperature probe (temp probe / sensor) for a Pit Boss Pellet Grill & Smoker. Unplug the grill. Then, undo the screws to remove the cover under the control unit. Find the steel braided cable and unplug it from the wire going to the control board, clipping any zip ties (cable ties) as needed. Then, on the inside of the grill, remove the grill grates and baffle plates to get access to the temperature probe area. Using an 11/32 socket and Phillips drive screwdriver, first remove the probe cover plate then the probe itself. Before pulling the probe out, tie a string to the connector end of the probe cable. Then, pull the probe out of the grill and cut / untie to string. Tie the string to the connector of the new probe, then pull the string from the other side (the side that is in the control unit area) to help guide the new probe’s cable to the control unit area. Fasten the probe and the probe cover to the grill, plug in the connector, and reattach the control unit cover to the grill. Put the baffle plates and grates back in the grill, then enjoy your new probe!
The Pit Boss grill in this video is a Pit Boss 600 PS (Pro Series)
