Bryggen in Bergen: A Norwegian World Heritage Site

Описание к видео Bryggen in Bergen: A Norwegian World Heritage Site

Bryggen, the old wharf in Bergen, is an old quarter of the German Hanseatic league. The current buildings have been built after the great fire of 1702, but underneath are even older archaeological remains of the medieval royal and mercantile capital of Norway. Bryggen was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site already in 1979 when the list had less than 60 sites worldwide, and has been one of the nation's most visited tourist attractions since the restorations of the 1960s and 70s.
