Manatee Springs State Park | Manatee Springs Campground Tour

Manatee Springs State Park is located in Chiefland, Florida, about 45 minutes west of Gainesville. Manatee Springs is one of Florida's largest freshwater springs and a popular summertime campground thanks to all of the water related activities available.

In the wintertime, Manatee Springs provides a refuge for Manatees looking to stay warm. The best time to spot them is typically November through April.

Manatee Springs has 3 camping loops with 80 sites in total. Magnolia 1 is where sites 1-40 are located. These sites offer full hookups, which is always an excellent find at a state park. Sites 41-60 are in the Magnolia 2 loop and are water and electric only, while sites 61-80 are in the Hickory Loop and also water and electric only. The Hickory loop is also where the 3 Glamping tents are located at Manatee Springs State Park.

Our Verizon cell service was spotty at best while in the park.
