The Open Group FACE™ Consortium is a government, industry, and academia collaboration that encourages innovation in refining business processes and developing vendor-neutral open standards that enable software portability, reusability, and interoperability. This session introduces the FACE Consortium, describes the ecosystem, and explains alignment with the five principles of modular open systems approach (MOSA). Additionally, the presentation will discuss the November 2022 announcement to open membership to organizations from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and United Kingdom.

Alicia Taylor joined The Open Group FACE™ Consortium in May of 2022 as the Program Director. Prior to that she spent 6½ years as a contractor for Axient, Inc. supporting US Army PEO Aviation. As the PEO Aviation project and planning analyst, Alicia was responsible for special projects, managing budgets, tracking tasks, providing expertise to the FACE & SOSA Consortia, working with universities, and coordinating the Army FACE & SOSA TIMs.

As a member of the FACE Consortium, she was involved with almost every aspect of the Consortium including Business Working Group (BWG), BWG Outreach, Course Accreditation, Integration Workshop (IWS), Enterprise Architecture (EA), EA Airworthiness, FACE CCB, International Status Tiger Team, Conformance Test Suite (CTS) Open Standards Team,
Sunsetting Standards, Steering Committee, and Technical Working Group Standards/CCB. Most recently Alicia served as the Chair of the IWS and coordinated the BITS Events. During the last nine months as an analyst, she supported the digital engineering and model-based system engineering program and contributed to policy, procedure, and SharePoint site updates.
